Dr Bill Webster is a Professor in the Department of Anatomy and Histology at the University of Sydney. His general research area is toxicology with a special interest in reproductive toxicology.
Dr Webster's research has been particularly involved in investigating the parameters of chemical exposure that determine teratogenicity (ability to cause birth defects) and the interpretation and relevance of animal experiments with respect to the human.
He has been a member of the Australian Drug Evaluation Committee (ADEC) <http://www.tga.gov.au/docs/html/adec/adec.htm>, a sister committee of CMEC, for the past 9 years with particular responsibility for the interpretation of animal toxicology data.
