Dr Vicki Kotsirilos works as a general practitioner who combines the best of orthodox and natural medicine. She has training in counselling, hypnosis, acupuncture, nutritional and herbal medicine.
Dr Kotsirilos was founding President of the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA) between 1992-1998. The AIMA represents medical practitioners who integrate various forms of ethical complementary therapies in their clinical practices. Dr Kotsirilos has published articles in a wide range of medical and public magazines, and she has spoken at numerous medical and public meetings. She is recognised in Australia as an authority on 'alternative' healthcare matters.
Dr Kotsirilos is active on numerous committees. These include Chair of the RACGP-AIMA Working Party, member of ADRAC, and editorial board member of the Journal of Complementary Medicine. She is also an Honorary Research Fellow, Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Monash University.
