TGO 74

Therapeutic Goods Order No. 74 Standards for blood components <http://www.tga.gov.au/docs/html/tgo/tgo74.htm> has been registered with the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments and is now in force. TGO 74 states that blood and blood components must meet the requirements of the Council of Europe document Guide to the preparation, use and quality assurance of blood components 11th edition and must only be manufactured from blood that tests negative for HIV-1 and HCV using Nucleic Acid Amplification Technology.
